Caribbean Day Dreams

In honor of my cancelled trip to Grand Cayman last week, here are my notes and the other beachy escapes I can't stop thinking about, even if I'm home in Houston instead!

I’m constantly on the hunt for the perfect one-flight escape from Houston. We’re a reasonable flight to several warm destinations, but we also live in a hot-as-Hades place for a large chunk of the year. Besides the allure of Mexico, Jamaica and the Florida Keys, Palm Beach or Miami, there are tons of options in the Caribbean. For a destination that’s an easy voyage from the airport to a lounge chair, nothing beats Grand Cayman. We had a trip planned for June, but with kids going in several different directions, we had to table the trip for now. I thought I’d share some notes, even though I won’t be able to get there this summer.
