Welcome to Friday Favorites! This quick glimpse of my week goes out to all subscribers (free and paid). I include a fan-favorite recipe, something I’m watching, reading, or listening to, a recent find, and a weekly win.
What I’m Cooking

It's been CRAZY BUSY this week: I had a HoustonLife TV segment all about Parchment Paper Fish Packets and meal planning (you can watch it here), prepped for an event at Kitchenette Farm during the Round Top Antiques Show and got ready to hit the road for a trip to Europe with Zwilling (can’t wait!!!). Luckily, I have an amazing intern helping me prep and schlep! She tested a NEW recipe for Chocolate Chip Zucchini Snacking cake that is amazing, if I do say so myself. We’ve tested it with regular AP flour and gluten-free Measure for Measure baking flour from King Arthur. Both versions turn out perfectly.
You can find all the SITK recipes I’ve shared on Substack in my Recipe Index.
What I’m Reading
I have not read, watched, or listened to anything this week! Do you have any book recs for me before I board a plane for Amsterdam later today? Instead of emailing me directly, please leave a comment with your book rec! That way, everyone can browse the collective "TBR" list. I have a few books downloaded to my Kindle that I haven’t started yet: The Song of Achilles, Beautiful Ugly and The Lost Bookshop. Any votes for those?
What I’m Wearing

If you happen to have an upcoming trip and want to browse this Europe Packing List, you might find some ideas. The one thing I can tell you is that I've absconded with one of my kids Away carry-on suitcases for this trip and I will not apologize for this behavior. I purchased this Uniqlo Trench Coat a couple of weeks ago in anticipation of my Zwilling trip to Amsterdam, Antwerp and Cologne, where it’s still relatively cool. I have no idea if it's waterproof, but it looks good. And the price was right for a nicely tailored trench.
This Week’s Win
It was a full week of work and I’m grateful for time in Round Top cooking for friends and shopping the fields. I hope you all have a great weekend.
