Thanksgiving Cooking Class
Subscriber class link and recipes, see you tomorrow at 4pm central time!
Tomorrow is the day! Join me on Zoom for a quick Thanksgiving cooking class. I will cook three recipes from start to finish: Somewhat Shortcut Stuffing, Meyer Lemon Cranberry Sauce, and Lemon and Thyme Turkey Breast. I’ll also demo how to use the cranberry sauce in a puff pastry-wrapped brie. I’d highly suggest you make a double recipe of the cran and save some for Cranberry Margaritas. And if you want to make it in advance, you can freeze it. Just transfer it to the fridge a couple of days before Thanksgiving.
If you or someone you’re feeding is gluten-free and you want to make the stuffing recipe, I recommend this gluten-free shortcut from Williams-Sonoma. You can also follow my recipe's directions to toast cubed gluten-free bread on a sheet pan at 250 degrees for about an hour. I’d use Canyon Bakehouse Gluten-Free White Country Bread.
The recipes and Zoom link are below. We will start promptly at 4 pm. I don’t log on early, so don’t get nervous if you don’t see me at 3:50 pm, lol!
A couple housekeeping items for my online cooking classes:
+ I move quickly through the recipes, but I demo the knife skills and cooking from start to finish. It’s not exactly a “cook along” class because of the pace. But feel free to gather any or all of the ingredients and prep, take notes, and get ready to finish the recipes after the class. I recommend you print and save the recipes below, that way you can take any notes on your printed copy. If you plan to cook the recipes from class, make the turkey for dinner and then freeze the stuffing and cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving. You can knock two things off your list!
+ Come with any questions. You can utilize the chat and my assistant Melissa is there to moderate. I’ll answer questions as we go and share any ingredient tips, prep ahead hacks, etc.
+ The class won’t be more than an hour! Sometimes I log off before everything is completely finished cooking, but I share photos on Instagram stories.
+ Giveaways! We always have cooking class giveaways, so I’ll be picking a few winners for gift subsciptions that you can share. It’s not too late to join us! Monthly and yearly paid subscribers are invited as a “perk”.
